We’re Taking a Short Break – Before We Do, We’d Love to Hear From You

Since the Institute of Strategic Risk Management was established in 2018, the organisation has grown significantly. What began as an organic journey has developed into a truly global professional community, with Members, Fellows, Chapters, Corporate Partners and wider stakeholders helping to shape the ISRM along the way.

As we continue to grow, it is important that our governance, structures and strategic direction continue to evolve with us. Following a series of meetings with our Chapters, Corporate Partners, Government Agencies and wider community, we have decided to dedicate the month of August to a period of consolidation, reflection and development.

During August, we will be taking a short break from our regular programme of activities. This includes our online events, training sessions, the Global Risk Forum, as well as publications such as the Global Risk Review and Weekly Newsletter.

This pause will allow us to focus on strengthening the foundations of the ISRM — developing our governance, refining our frameworks and reviewing our strategy to ensure we are well positioned for the next stage of our journey.

This is not about slowing down. It is about making sure we continue to grow in the right way.

Our ambition remains clear: to expand the ISRM’s global influence, strengthen the ISRM Academy, further develop the Centre for the Study of Wicked Problems (CSWP), and continue building a professional community that supports strategic risk management practitioners around the world.

Before we begin this period of consolidation, we would like to hear from you.

Our Members and Fellows are at the heart of everything we do, and your experiences, ideas and feedback continue to help shape the future of the Institute. We invite you to join this week’s Global Risk Forum, where we will open the conversation and discuss the next chapter of the ISRM with our community.

Thank you for being part of our journey so far. We are grateful for your continued support and engagement, and we look forward to returning in September with renewed focus, new initiatives and exciting developments for the ISRM community.

We wish you a safe and restful August, wherever you are in the world.
