Speakers’ bios:

Mick O’Connell is an executive with wide international expertise, diplomacy and cultural awareness. He has held leadership roles in diverse organisational models, including at INTERPOL, focusing on business strategy, risk mitigation and growth. As the founder of Critical Insights Consultancy, he offers global independent consulting, providing insights and guidance for digital age business transformation, emphasising sustainability and net zero goals. He excels in bridging ethical technology innovation between public and private sectors, addressing ESG concerns. He specialises in threat/risk mitigation, big data, business intelligence, crisis response and disaster recovery. His experience encompasses tackling security threats, organised crime and terrorism, and he has developed global border security solutions using advanced biometrics and technology.

Dr Nourhan N. Moussa is a highly accomplished legal professional with over 15 years of experience in the Egyptian legal system as a Law Professor and Legal Advisor. She has also gained international experience by working on several international projects with UN Women, UNDP, UNFPA, EU, and USAID. Dr. Moussa has worked as a Legal Consultant with the American Bar Association and The National Council for Women. Now she serves as the Managing Partner for AGM Consultancy; she has demonstrated her exceptional leadership skills and expertise in the legal industry. Her extensive knowledge and experience have earned her a reputation as a trusted advisor and consultant for governmental bodies, businesses, and parliament members. Dr. Moussa holds different degrees, enhancing her knowledge in Technology, International Law, IPR, and business.

Hart S. Brown is a renowned expert in risk governance and resilience, with over 25 years of international experience in both public and private sectors. As CEO and Security & Risk Practice Lead at Future Point of View, he guides organisations in long-term strategic planning. Brown has a rich background, including roles in merger & acquisition strategies, an IPO and establishing specialised consulting practices. He is known for his work as a futurist and board advisor, managing crisis responses to major global events and advising boards on emerging risks like AI and quantum computing.

Mads Paerregaard is an experienced security risk management professional who after a career as an army officer worked as a Regional Security Advisor with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs followed by senior security and c-suite level positions in the private sector. Mads founded Human Risks in 2016 – a digital risk management platform that supports each step of the ESRM process. Mads is a graduate from the Royal Danish Military Academy and has an master´s degree in business administration from Henley Business School.

Andrew Tollinton is the Co-founder of SIRV, a company providing technology solutions for safety and security teams, with applications used across the UK and EMEA. He is a guest lecturer at various universities across the UK. Influenced by notable figures in psychology and entrepreneurship, he has received multiple innovation awards and was a finalist for Director of the Year in 2019 and Start-Up of the Year in 2017. He is also an active volunteer and has held leadership roles in public speaking and director forums.

Pauline Norstrom is the founder of AI safety company Anekanta®AI, which provides AI governance, risk management and impact mitigation software and services to its global customers. Prior, she held many statutory executive roles from MD, VP to COO in a range of international high-risk technology organisations addressing security and safety risk problems in sectors including transportation, aerospace, manufacturing, retail and law enforcement. She has also held the NED Chair position for the British Security Industry Association (BSIA). Pauline sits on a number of UK and International AI advisory boards working closely with stakeholders to drive high-standards and government policy for the responsible and ethical use of AI technology in security and beyond. These include the BSI National Body for AI standards, and the committee chaired by the BSIA which authored the new British Standard for the ethical use of facial recognition software in video surveillance. She brought evidence to the APPG AI on the beneficial use of facial recognition software, and board governance of AI, which informed government policy. Her company’s AI governance framework has been adopted by the Institute of Directors to educate business leaders about AI risk and her company’s AI Risk Intelligence System™ has recently been featured in the UK Government Portfolio of AI Assurance Techniques.

Peter Senkus has over 15 years of experience in business transformation and IT system implementation, specialising in artificial intelligence and business process management. His expertise encompasses AI, AR, VR, 3D printing, data analytics, IoT and AGI. As a solution architect and management consultant, he has worked on significant projects. He holds a PhD in economics and his professional focus includes Business Process Management, AI, Systems Management and Quality Management.
