ISRM Student Network Academic Leadership Programme – Arjen Boin

We are delighted to announce that the Featured Guest for our ISRM Student Network Academic Leadership webinar for May is Arjen Boin.

Arjen Boin is Professor of Public Institutions and Governance at the Institute of Political Science, Leiden University. He was preciously professor of public governance and crisis management at the Utrecht School of Governance and associate professor at the Public Administration Institute, Louisiana State University.

Arjen is recognised as one of the leading academics concerned with all aspects of strategic risk and crisis management, resilience and organisational capability development, and particularly from a leadership perspective.

He has collaborated widely with other leading conceptualists in the field, including Patrick Lagadec, Louis Comfort, Naim Kapucu, Paul ‘t Hart and many others.

Since the onset of the global Covid-19 pandemic at the end of 2019, Arjen has written regularly on the responses made by various agencies to the pandemic, and the lessons learned.

We are delighted that Arjen has agreed to be part of the ISRM Student Network Academic Leadership programme, and we cordially invite anyone interested or involved in any of the strategic risk, crisis management, resilience and leadership issues that the world is currently facing to join us for what will be a wide-ranging discussion.

There will be an opportunity to post comments and participate in a Q&A session as part of the webinar.
